I am honoured to be a certified facilitator for Cultivating Safe Spaces. It reflects my appreciative inquiry approach, affinity for Circle Process, and my desire to create space and place to empower myself and others to create transformation within ourselves, our families, workplaces and communities.
Cultivating Safe Spaces (CSS) is a framework to co-create space for shifts in worldview and relational practices to realize transformative change. Developed in 2019 by Elaine Alec, CSS was created as a response to the need to create safe space in the areas of decolonization and reconciliation. Since 2020, CSS has proved to be a sought after framework to support everything from team building to policy making.
Through CSS, participants reflect on the four conditions for cultivating safe space (understanding self, loved-based practice, patience, discipline), the four perspectives that require honouring (traditional innovative, relationship, action) and the four protocols or agreements necessary to maintain safe space (inclusion, validation, well-being, freedom).
I provide 90 minute, 3 hour and 6 hour workshops and can tailor workshops to incorporate team/organizational strategic priorities and objectives.
Sometimes ideas and needs don't fit into prescribed areas.
I always welcome inquiries about new ways in which we might work together to support social justice, decolonization, and transformational change. I'm always honoured to be part of the energy to activate ideas and relationships.
